We had two spanish moms who did not each other prior to a Social meeting, contact each other and make arrangements for transportation to the next Social at the Martin East Regional Library. Here they completed library cards for themselves and their children. Both moms noted this was their first time to visit a library and both checked out books for themselves as well as assisted their children to do the same. Moms and children did not have transportation back to their homes from the library, so they walked two and a half miles back to their corresponding neighborhoods.

My parents really enjoyed the first socialization of the month. I had several moms interacting w/ each other. In addition, the moms and children loved the free books! At many houses that I have been to since the social I have noticed the books being out on tables. In fact, Oscar's mom,Julissa, commented on how much Oscar loves the book and wants to look at it almost everyday!
