Today while we were visiting Angelica and her son Diego, we had the opportunity to teach and encourage mom to set boundaries. Mom was frustrated with Diego's crying and interrupting our conversation. Deanne explained to mom the importance of being consistent and how discipline means to teach our kids how to act in different situations. Angelica was amazed to watch Diego's response after consistently correcting his behavior.We spoke about different ways to manage his tantrums . We also told mom about taking a deep breath and saying a positive sentence to help her cope with the stress of dealing with Diego's tantrums( We learned this last weekend in a training :) , her choice of words... Help me to lovinging discipline my child! Angelica was so happy and couldn't wait to share with her husband all the new and wonderful things that she had learned today. It's wonderful to see how our parents find our curriculum so helpful!
