During a visit with Astrid on Tuesday, I asked mom if she had talked to her pediatrician about feeding Astrid solid food. Mom noted that she had not had a chance to speak with the doctor, but that she did speak to a friend of hers in the neighborhood to ask her advice. She spoke with this mom because she had seen Toni, another parent educator, visiting with the family. She said that she trusted her opinion because she too was enrolled in the Early Head Start program. They now talk often to share stories and advice. What a wonderful opportunity EHS has given these two families!
