As a parent educator, I often get the opportunity to witness first steps, first words, etc. This past week was a week full of "firsts". While visiting with a 12 month old boy, mom let me know I was the first person he had ever said "bye" to, and the first to warrant a wave of the hand. Later that day I was the first witness a 5 month old boy roll over, plus I was able to see the tears of joy and pride in mom's eyes when he did so. Finally, to finish out my week, I was the first to see yet another 12 month old boy stand alone without support...watch out mom, he'll be walking soon! I am so happy my job is filled with such wonderful "firsts". I can't wait to see what tomorrow will bring!
