The End

Even though Kevin is a new student in the EHS Home Based program, it hasn't taken me much time to learn about his likes and dislikes. Kevin is a 28 month old child, and talks as if he were older! During my last home visit, something interesting and nice happened. Kevin started "reading" magazines and books one after the other. Kevin turned the pages and named the pictures he saw, such as doll and boy, in Spanish, and then he emphasized "The End", even though he was speakinig Spanish. That particular day Kevin didn't want me to leave, he just kept on bringing books, papers and magazines to read to me, and always said "The End" when finished. As Kevin's Parent Educator , it is a joy to watch his reading skills and love of books blossoming week after week.
