Making Friends

One of the main objectives of the bi-monthly socials is for parents to make connections with other parents. This happened this past month with two of my families. I introduced them to each other, and gently encouraged them to get to know each other since they both had little girls that were only a month apart. The Moms visited for the remainder of the social, then exchanged phone numbers. A couple of weeks ago one of the Moms told me that she had gotten a phone call from the other Mom and they had set up a play date! Both Moms were so excited about their trip to the park, and have plans to have many more play dates! This is so exciting to have the Moms networking with each other and providing opportunities for their children's continued social development, all on their own!
