It's a Small World!

Socializations are such a wonderful time for children and parents to meet and get to know each other. While parents are playing with their children and talking with other parents they often find that their children are going through the same stages and having the exact same issues. It always seems comforting for parents to hear from other parents, for example, that their child is going through negativism(saying "No" all the time, temper tantrums, etc.) or having trouble potty training...that the parents are not alone in their struggles. Also, while parents are playing with their children and talking with other parents they get to know about each others personal lives. This allows the families to connect in a meaningful way. At a recent social, two moms were enjoying talking to each other and connecting. After talking for a while they made a shocking discovery. The ladies discovered that one of them knew the others husband from Mexico! The ladies were so surprised! Since that socialization the two ladies have been great friends as well as their children! It really is a small world!! CS
