One of the children in our program is speech delayed and communication between the child and the mom appears challenging. As a resource for our families, we offered baby sign language classes last Fall. So, I encourgaed Mom to attend classes in hopes of bridging communication between her and her child. Mom was very excited about the opportunity and attended many of the classes. At my visit with this family a few weeks ago, I saw baby signs in action! Mom was tickiling the child and when she stopped the baby signed "More!" Mom then said, " Do you want me to tickle you more?" and child shook her head yes! I was so happy! Mom and I rejoiced in the momment...almost to the point of tears! It was AWESOME to see a provided resource paying off . Carmen
