Tissue, anyone?
In November, I did a series of lessons with Celeste, a 23 month old, involving blowing. After learning this new skill, mom reported that Celeste started blowing her nose, not into a tissue, but on to her lip. Mom and I encouraged Celeste to blow her nose into a tissue, but she still had not used a tissue consistently until this week. With this being January, and the sniffles going around, Celeste has had lots of practice remembering to get a tissue when her nose is runny. While at my last visit, Celeste got up and retrieved herself a tissue, and proceded to blow her nose into it triumphantly. We clapped and celebrated as she beamed back at us. As I was leaving, Mom commented that maybe she was finally getting it when Celeste pulled off her sock and blew her nose into it. As we giggled, mom said "Maybe we need to work on it a little more." -Jamie
