Princess

The discussion for the home visit was sharing and cooperative play and involved pretend play. Pretend Play is an important development for older toddlers. The activity for the home visit was dress up and to accomodate, I brought a trunk full of different dress up clothes. Upon arrival to the visit, the 34 month little girl asked "What's in there?" She grabbed mom's hand and opened the trunk. What happened next is history...the little girl picked an outfit, and then mom and I each picked an outfit. As the girl pretended with her mom, she talked and played with her so much so that I had a difficult time discussing with mom the important points of the lesson. Mom could not listen to me for listening and interacting with her daughter. What a wonderful experience mom and daughter shared during the home visit!
