A popular center at our last Social was called "The fishing hole." The children were able to
pretend fish in a tub of water. Two of my little friends, Joanna and Josi, had the best time pretending to fish. They were able to use magnetic fishing poles to catch a colorful selection of
fish and water animals. They both enjoyed filling up their nets and buckets and talking to Mom about what they had caught. Maria was amazed how much the children enjoyed this center. She talked about her plan to make a "fishing hole center" on their front porch for the children this summer. The family returned a second time, and the children stayed at the sensory table the most and enjoyed the pretend play. We noticed receptive and expressive language skills being practiced around the "old fishing hole!" Toni
