During a recent first visit I saw blocks being used in a brand new way. Little Makayla was pretending some of the blocks were baby cribs and others were little wooden babies. She was rocking the plain little blocks, and urging her mother and I to "Shhh... Nighty Night". It was such a great example of symbolic play, I was so impressed with her imagination!
