English Practice

Most of the Spanish speaking moms I visit are enrolled in English class right now. The weekly home visits give them a comfortable place to practice their English. Having handouts, books, rhymes and songs available in Spanish and English is another great benefit. They can read and sing to their children in their native language and learn new vocabulary with the English version. They have a goal of being able to communicate with their children's teachers when their children begin school, and so they are excited about the opportunity to improve their English right now.
