It is so much fun to observe babies and toddlers moving. They progress from crawling to walking. A toddler I visit had been walking for one month. Mom and I observed her as she practiced her new motor skills. She pulled a musical toy dog behind her, while walking forward. She turned and walked backwards, while pulling the dog. The busy child picked up the dog, and carried it to the sofa. Her next task was pushing a small chair across the floor, while jabbering . Mom was surprised at her child's motor coordination and concentration. Mom now understood, that her child's brain was allowing her to do more than one thing, at a time. What a busy morning!
