Simple Fun

Our curriculum has many creative ideas for fun uses of household objects. One of my favorites is the racket play. A racket is made by taping a paper towel tube to a paper plate. The child then practices scooting and hitting a balloon with the racket. The parents are happy to know their children are improving eye-hand coordination and strengthening their arms and shoulders. Most of all they are happy to see their children so delighted to do such a simple activity.
