The difference that several weeks can make in a child's development is remarkable. Several weeks ago 18 month old JR could only say single words, to represent an entire thought. This week JR started putting words together in two-word phrases. During my visit, JR approached her mom and said "want milk". Mom stated that she was putting many words together and telling her what she wants and sees.
