You Are Not A Stranger!

I was recently assigned a new family. I called to arrange the first visit, and mom was excited about participating in the program. Mom warned me, however, that the 9 month old was exhibiting strong separation and stranger anxiety, and to be prepared. I arrived at the home anticipating strong emotions from the baby. She stared at me, and slowly eased herself closer to me, eventually joining me on the floor. We had a great time, talking, babbling and banging blocks together. It was a great first visit!
