Great Start!

It is so wonderful when we get a new family that is enthusiastic about the program and wanting to get as much out of it as possible. This is the attitude of my newest family, and not just Mom, but Dad, and the three siblings as well. When I arrived, the whole family was excited to learn what the program had to offer and what they could do to participate fully. The children were asking "so what can she learn, you know she can't talk yet right?", and "I am teaching her how to read!". The Mom and Dad were excited about the socials and the opportunity to meet with other parents who had children the same age as their own, and to have another opportunity for educational family outings. Our first visit was at 3:30 on a Thursday, and that evening our social was at the library at 6:00. Only a couple of hours after learning about the program and the social events, the parents dropped their plans and attended the social instead! It is so exciting to have so many families that not only appreciate the program but also are excited about it!
