I would like to express my appreciation to Shirley, one of our Family Support Specialist, who during the past month has given much needed help and support to one of the families I visit. Many of our families do not have their own transportation, and this was the case with this family. Their child, Axel, needed an ear surgery, and without the needed transportation, the surgery was not going to happen. Shirley was there for this family throughout the entire process, even for appointments that were scheduled early in the morning. With the needed transportation, as well as encouragement and support, Axel received the needed medical attention, and is now doing well. Thank you Shirley for all that you do for our families....You are so appreciated!
