Our curriculum emphasizes the great benefits of singing and doing fingerplays with children. One family I visit demonstrates many of these wonderful benefits. The Mom's sister lives with her and both the Mom and Aunt are frequently singing to the children. The 11-month old's face lights up every time they begin to sing. He makes many different movements to the different songs and has now even begun to say several words. They are creating a language rich environment for him as well as many happy memories.
