A Game of His Own

The topic on a recent visit was colors and matching. A. had a great time with a matching color puzzle. After several repetitions of matching car halves based on color, he picked up a stack of movies that was next to him. He began laying the movies on top on the different cars. At first, I thought he had just tired of the activity. Then I heard him say, "This looks like this." After observing him more closely, Mom and I were amazed to see that he was matching the colors on the movie box with the colors of the cars. On his own, he had taken the activity to a whole new level.
