I love it when I go to a home visit and I introduce books and the child's face lights up with joy. On this particular home visit little B had me read three books, as she sat down and listened to the story carefully and we talked about the pictures in the book. Little B's Mom does not know how to read well and she also listened to the story with much joy. Mom even tried to read one of the easy books herself. Both Mom and daughter are learning from each other! What a great opportunity for both to keep growing together in the joy of learning to read.
