No More Toys?

Three year old JR and her Mom were reading one of JR's favorite books, "Polar Bear, Polar Bear, What Do You Hear"? When Mom finished reading, she attempted to explain to JR that today would be the teacher's last visit. JR looked at me with tears, in her big, beautiful eyes and asked, "no more toys"? JR was referring to the weekly parent-child activity, which emphasizes the value of play and "hands on" learning. She entered the program at 6 months of age, and was always excited when I arrived with my big bag of fun things. JR "toys" actively involved her parents and helped them to understand their child's learning process. JR will transition to Rosa Parks Early Childhood Education Center .
