Bimonthly socials give families the opportunity to come learn and play with other families with children of a similar age. Fabulous connections are often made between families. Recently, a new family of mine attended the social. Mom had many concerns about the development about her premature little girl. While chatting with mom near the art table about developmental activities appropriate for her little girl, another mom entered the conversation. Her daughter was premature as well. Both moms began chatting and learned that their daughters had many aspects in common. They exchanged numbers and agreed to talk more in the future. What a wonderful opportunity for families to network and offer peer support!
