Bright Eyes

L. is a new student who is almost a year old. L. is a very busy and curious 11 month old. He has not, however, been interested in me or the activities that I bring. L. is usually busy crawling very rapidly from one place to another to see what brother or sister are doing or perhaps to go to his favorite "toy" room. But on our last visit, I began singing and doing the hand motions to "Itsy Bitsy Spider" and L. came crawling as fast as he could. He pulled up on my crossed leg until he was kneeling and looked intently at my face and then hands. When I finished he gave me a huge smile with his bright eyes shining and then was off again to explore his world. MJ
