Shaving Cream Play

Shaving cream play is important because it stimulates the child's senses of touch and smell. Playing with shaving cream also encourages the child to use her hands and develop fine motor skills. But, the best reason is it is so much fun! Melanie was alittle cauious about putting her hands into the shaving cream. She watched Susana and I play and experiment. We told her how smooth and soft it felt on our hands. Slowly, she tried touching the shaving cream. It didn't take long before she had it up to her elbows having a blast! Melanie let her two older siblings join the fun. You are never too old to try something new. Toni
