Little Aaron

Aaron is one of my new students. Mom was concerned about his language development. But during our first visit, I heard him say many words and I could understand most of them. He was using the "ing" form for verbs, using the plural and diminutive for words, identifying animals and making their sounds. He identified at least four colors and seven body parts, including his heart! I pointed out these things to mom and every time I mentioned one of them, she would say, "Really?" and smile. Her son is very verbal and scored perfect in the comunication part of the evaluation we do for children. Now Mom seems way more at ease about her son's language development. I think she just needed someone to come in and point out what a great job she has been doing all this time. DH
