I visit a young mother, who is twenty years of age. She has three children under the age of four. This young mother attends school, works two jobs and takes time out of her busy schedule to meet weekly with me. I recently screened her two year old child using the ASQ (Ages and Stages Questionnaire). Mom was so involved in the process. She repeatedly asked questions and wanted to know what she could do to improve herself, as a parent. She observed everything her child did during the screening process, and commented on it. This mother has such a busy life, but not to busy to want the best for her children.
