S.A. will be turning one year old and Mom is planning a big birthday celebration. S.A. just returned home from the hospital after a 2 month stay. During his stay he was diagnosed with CVI (cortical visual impairment). Thankfully, his Sooner Start therapist and parent educator were able to meet to work out a plan for S.A. Hopefully with proper visual stimulation S.A. is expected to create new pathways in his brain and thus improve his sight. The cooperation of all the agencies such as Sooner Start, EHS, Family and Children's Services has been phenomenal. It truly takes a village to raise a child.
